Barbeque and Movie Night.
Ironstone Adventure Riding Club
1688 Goodwood Road, Capel River
6.00pm, Saturday 16th December
The Ironstone Adventure Riding Club and Indian Harley Club will kick-start the festive season with a combine barbeque and movie night. The night will be a great opportunity to bring members of both clubs together for a relaxed, social evening – as opposed to the rigors of running an event to which we are more accustomed.
Two movies are scheduled for the evening;
Speed is Expensive is a recent release that brings to the screen one of the most dramatic stories in automotive history – the rise and the fall of the Vincent motorcycle. These fast, revolutionary machines were produced by eccentric engineer Philip Vincent and his small team in war-ravaged England. Vincent designed the frame and Australian engineering, Philip Irving, the engine. Their bikes took on the world – and often won – gaining more speed records than any other manufacturer during their brief production. In 1955, the firm claimed the ultimate prize: the outright world speed record of almost 300 kph. We do plan to have a Vincent at Ironstone on the night.
Released in 1971, On Any Sunday is a timeless documentary that combines dirt-bike riding, recreational and racing motorcycles in the US. Whilst the machines are from a different era, the people, competition and stories continue to reflect the motorcycle community that we are part of to this day.
BYO barbeque and drinks for a relaxing night in ideal settings at Capel River.
Free camping available at the venue. Toilets, showers, kitchen facilities, undercover entertainment area.
RSVP with the Register button or text 0401 135 600.
