The combined Car Clubs of SW and Peel are planning the inaugural SW MEGA MOTORING EXTRAVAGANZA on 15th May2016, in celebration of National Motoring Heritage Day.
The South West Institute of Technology (TAFE) have come in as partners and have offered their entire Bunbury campus for the event, including their fabulous state-of-the-art Automotive Centre as the focal point. This gives an opportunity to stage a motoring festival/expo style event – different to regular show and shine events.
One of the elements under discussion is a “Test your Motoring Knowledge/swap info: Evolution of Car and Motor Bike makes and models” in which the organisers would like to allocate 30 minutes (or by agreement) to as many major “makes” of cars and have their designated person explain the evolution of that make of vehicle through the years and how to recognise the features of each model. This pre-supposes someone with an excellent background knowledge of each make to be featured on the program (more than one room can be scheduled if necessary). There are data projection facilities throughout the class rooms and presenters will be encouraged to prepare power point presentations or to speak to a particular web-site– visual explanation would be far better than just oral.
This information is being distributed by the Council of Motoring Clubs on behalf of the combined car clubs of the SW and Peel region, who are the organisers of this event.
For any further information please contact the South West Car Club on the contacts given on the flyer below.
