I’m Gordon, Bolt’s brother, and live up in Baldivis.
I’d like to offer this year’s Pre-’48 Blyth family run around the Rockingham bays and surrounding areas.
As an Open Event, all bikes are welcome, with Pre’48s especially welcome.
The 150-klm route includes riding up the Darling Scarp hill to Jarrahdale, and then down towards Baldivis and lunch.
There is 2.6 klms of gravel, or the option to go around that on bitumen.
Details below:
Date – Sunday 20th September 2020
Start and finish – White Lakes Brewery (Vernon Arms), 1441 Mandurah Road, Baldivis
Times – Arrive after 8.30 am (gates will be open at 8.30 am), ready for a 9.00 am ride out. A toilet will be open for use.
Parking – Secure vehicle and trailer parking available inside the fence of the WLB property, on the grassed area at the front (see photos).
Morning tea – Mundijong. Also a petrol station next to delicatessen.
Lunch – Riders should be completing the ride and returning to the WLB around 1.00 pm.
Both the WLB and the Vernon Arms have lunch menus. The WLB houses a boutique brewery with beer paddles available for tasting.
The WLB has a tabled eating area under a large verandah outside.
Note If riders planning to attend the ride can please text Gordon on 0428 458 700, and we will try to arrange a reserved table on the verandah at the WLB for lunch.
If the weather is inclement, we may be able to have lunch inside the Vernon Arms side.
Back up support – Dane Blyth will be the support car with trailer.
