Hi John,

Thanks for your help. The planned coastal run on Sunday Feb 6th is as follows.

Start, Capel Tavern car park 8.45 for 9am sharp start.

Finish at Dunsborough for lunch approx. 12noon. Please park together in the Hotel car park.

Numerous bakeries and coffee lounges and restaurants are available.

TOTAL DISTANCE 125km

If any riders feel this is too far, they may shorten the ride at any stage by riding directly to Dunsborough.

CORNER MAN. The ride will be conducted under the corner man system, with a designated leader and tail end charlie. The rider directly behind the leader MUST stop on every corner, and indicate the direction to turn for the following riders. He MUST then wait for the tail end charlie before proceeding. If you are not experienced in this system or are not confident about it, no problem, please just ride mid field and let others do the corners.

Cheers Peter Mitchell

Hi John,

The return ride.

Riders who wish to go as a group with back up should be prepared to leave Dunsborough at 1pm.

ROUTE

East on Caves Road to Vasse where it becomes Bussell Hwy. Straight ahead through the traffic lights at the Queen St Bsn intersection to the next roundabout where you turn right.

100metres and turn left onto Peel Terrace. Straight ahead, it becomes Layman Road. Stay on Layman road past Port Geographe to the roundabout at Tuart Drive.

Turn left onto Tuart Drive and stay in it till it merges with Bussell Hwy. Just a few kms and you turn left at the Capel entrance.

Return Distance to Capel 55km

Cheers Peter

------------------------

This will be a fairly lengthy course (approx 150klms between Capel & back to Capel) in addition to 50klms approx Bunbury to Capel & return. So all up 200klms plus, depending on where you are coming from. So please carefully choose your "HISTORIC MOTORCYCLE" to suit the journey. Perhaps trailer your bike to Capel if you are not confident of it completing the journey, may be an option. There should be ample parking available at the Capel Shire Office, being on a Sunday.
